Memanfaatkan Microsoft Word 2007 Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Geometri di SMP

Computer utilization, particularly Microsoft Word 2007 is one of the efforts of teachers in the use of existing learning resources. Microsoft Word 2007 is easy to use and easy to access because the software is almost there in all the latest computer. Utilization of Microsoft Word as
Geometry in middle school instructional media will make a positive contribution to both the teacher and her students.

Microsoft Office 2007 can we use to develop a geometry learning in school. Microsoft Office 2007 comes SmartArt Graphic so that users can create different kinds of graphs. With SmartArt graphics tools we can create different kinds of geometry dimensions 2 or 3 dimensions. With SmartArt graphics devices we also can do animation in the wake as well as add text for explanation barbagai kinds of images.

By utilizing the various facilities within the Microsoft Office 2007, we can develop a medium of learning geometry in junior high. Competency Standards relating to junior high school students with the ability to specify geometric could be as follows:

1.                  Understanding the relationship line to line, line with an angle, corner angle, and determine its

size.

2.                  Understand the concept of a rectangle and a triangle and determine its size.

3.                  Using the Pythagorean theorem in solving the problem.

4.                  Determining element, the circle and size.

5.                  Understanding the properties of the cube, beam, prism, pyramid, and their parts, and determine its size.

6.                  Understanding kesebangunan up flat and their use in solving problems.

7.                  Understanding the properties of tubes, cones and spheres, and determine its size

Benefits of Using Microsoft Word 2007 is as follows:

1)                 Relatively easy to do by the teacher because the software is contained in almost every new computer generation.

2)                 Adding to the motivation and pleasure in studying geometry.

3)                 Students can use Microsoft Word 2007 to study the geometry either independently or through collaboration.

4)                 Students can conduct an investigation or investigations of concepts of geometry.

5)                 Students can perform activities of problem solving or solving mathematical problems.

6)                  Students can communicate hasilhasilnya both to teachers and to other friends.
